This privacy policy describes what personal information Casino-Apps.eu (casino-apps.eu) collects when you use the website, why we collect it and how we look after it. Our readers live in many different countries. We handle personal information under New Zealand’s Privacy Act 2020 and its information privacy principles, and we give the same level of protection to every visitor, wherever they are. Casino-Apps.eu reviews casino apps. We are not a casino: we do not hold player accounts, deposits or payment details.
In brief: we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read, and we keep the rest to a minimum. We show no advertising, run no newsletter and do not sell information to anyone. Apart from the statistics, the only personal information we handle is what you send us yourself and the technical data needed to deliver the website securely.
Who is responsible
Casino-Apps.eu is represented by the website’s owner, who is responsible for the personal information handled on this website. Questions about your information can be sent to us through our contact page.
What information we collect
Information you give us
If you write to us, we receive:
- your email address
- your name, if you include it
- what you write in your message
- anything else you decide to tell us
Statistics from Google Analytics
The website uses Google Analytics (Google’s gtag script) to produce visitor statistics. When a page loads, Google Analytics sets cookies such as _ga and _ga_5N1MSSS0YR and collects information like:
- the pages you view and how long you stay
- the website or search that brought you here
- your type of device, browser and operating system
- your approximate location, at country or city level
- a random identifier stored in the _ga cookie, which lets Google tell a returning browser from a new one
We use these figures only as totals, to see which reviews are read and which need improving. We do not use them to identify you or for advertising, and we do not combine the statistics with any other information about you. Google Analytics 4 does not store visitors’ IP addresses.
Technical information
Our hosting provider Hetzner and the security and delivery service Cloudflare automatically record some technical information when you visit:
- IP address, needed to send you the pages and to protect the website against abuse
- browser type and version
- operating system
- the page that sent you to us
- the date and time of your visit
- the pages you request
This information is kept in server logs and security systems. It is used to run and protect the website, not to build a profile of you.
We do not ask for or collect sensitive information. The website is not meant for anyone under 18.
Cookies and the cookie bar
When you first visit, a small bar at the bottom of the screen tells you that we use cookies. The bar is a notice only: the OK button just closes it, and choosing it or not does not switch any cookies on or off. Google Analytics cookies are set when the page loads.
The website uses:
- Necessary cookies from Cloudflare (security and protection against bots), LiteSpeed Cache (faster page loading) and WordPress (mainly for logged-in site administrators)
- Statistics cookies from Google Analytics, such as _ga and _ga_5N1MSSS0YR, which normally last up to two years
We do not use advertising cookies, marketing trackers or social media plugins that follow you.
You can delete cookies and block new ones in your browser settings at any time, and you can stop Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits with Google’s opt-out browser add-on. If you block necessary cookies, parts of the website may not work as intended. Our cookie policy has more details.
Links to casino operators
Our reviews contain links and buttons that lead to casino operators’ websites and to app stores. We do not pass your name, email address or any other personal information to an operator when you click one of these links. Once you arrive on the operator’s website or download its app, the operator decides what information it collects, including when you open an account, verify your identity or make a deposit. That is covered by the operator’s own privacy policy and terms, not by this policy, so please read them before you sign up.
Why we use your information
We use personal information only for clear, lawful purposes connected to running this website:
- Replying to you: we use your message to answer you and, where needed, to correct a review you told us about.
- Running and protecting the website: technical information helps us deliver pages, block abuse and fix faults.
- Improving our content: Google Analytics statistics show which pages are useful and which need work.
- Following our search visibility: Google Search Console gives us summary figures on how the website appears in Google Search. It runs no code on the website and does not tell us who you are.
We will not use your information for any other purpose without telling you first, unless the law requires or allows it.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the reason it was collected:
- Messages you send us: up to 3 years after our last contact, then deleted, unless the law requires us to keep them longer
- Google Analytics statistics: stored by Google for no longer than 14 months
- Hetzner server logs: deleted automatically after a short time, normally a few weeks
- Cloudflare security logs: normally kept for around 30 days
- Cookies: from the end of your browser session up to two years, as described above
Information we no longer need is deleted or made anonymous.
Service providers
We never sell personal information. These service providers handle information for us so that the website can work:
- Hetzner Online GmbH (hosting): stores the website and its server logs, including IP addresses. Location: European Union (Germany and Finland). Privacy policy
- Cloudflare, Inc. (security and delivery): handles IP addresses and technical data. Location: United States, with servers around the world. Privacy policy
- Google LLC (Google Analytics and Google Search Console): provides visitor statistics and summary search data. Location: United States. Privacy policy
We may have to share information with public authorities if the law requires it.
Information sent overseas
Our service providers store and process information in the European Union and the United States, and Cloudflare also uses servers worldwide. In line with the Privacy Act 2020, we only use providers that are bound by privacy laws or contract terms that give protection comparable to New Zealand law, so your information remains protected wherever it is processed.
How we protect information
We take reasonable steps to keep personal information safe from loss and from unauthorized access, use, change or disclosure:
- HTTPS encryption on every page
- Cloudflare’s protection against attacks and automated abuse
- regular updates of WordPress, plugins and the theme
- limited access to the website’s administration area
- hosting in Hetzner data centers certified to ISO 27001
- secure storage of email messages
If a privacy breach has caused or is likely to cause serious harm, we will tell the Office of the Privacy Commissioner and the people affected as soon as practicable, as the Privacy Act 2020 requires.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can:
- ask whether we hold personal information about you and get a copy of it
- ask us to correct information that is wrong
- ask us to delete your information, which we will do unless we still need it for its original purpose or the law requires us to keep it
- complain if you believe your privacy has been interfered with
The privacy laws where you live may give you further rights, and we will respect them. To use any of these rights, contact us through our contact page. We will respond as soon as we can and within 20 working days of receiving your request. We may ask you to confirm who you are before we act on it.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first so we have a chance to put it right. Because we follow New Zealand’s Privacy Act 2020, you can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner, New Zealand’s privacy regulator, at privacy.org.nz, where complaints can be made online.
Children
Casino-Apps.eu is about casino apps and real-money gambling. The website is not intended for anyone under 18, or under the legal gambling age where they live. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you think a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may change this privacy policy when our practices or the law change. The current version is always the one on this page. See also our terms of use and our AI policy.
